It wasn’t too much of an exciting day today…I managed to sleep in until almost 9am this morning though – I’m getting good, aren’t I?! Then it was pretty much a standard day – breakfast, packing (seems like I do that an awful lot!!), and running. It was actually quite a nice run too – some nice intervals!!
We were supposed to be picked up at 7am, but at the last minute, Mme Lenfant changed ideas and decided to have Fredo pick us up at 2pm instead – but it actually ended up being closer to 3 instead. It worked well though because that way I was able to fit in all the stuff I did in the morning (including a nice nap after lunch) before we left for Paris.
It was the Hotel Campanile again in Paris. We got there around 5pm and it was pretty calm after that. It was Mme Lenfant’s birthday (I wish I’d known) so everyone went to Fabrice’s house for dinner. Because Elisa was with me we weren’t invited, but that was pretty much okay by me – I think I’ve done my fair share of long dinners for one holiday!!
Instead, Elisa and I went over to the supermarket across the street and bought some chip-type things for happy hour. We sat in our hotel room and played cards…quite nice!! After our buffet dinner we went for a walk. I didn’t mind at all that we were left at the hotel!
And….because I was here right at the beginning of my trip everyone knew me! I had super special treatment and everyone was super nice to me. I felt special! The best part was being able to order anything we wanted for dinner and have someone else pay for it. It was cool leaving the restaurant and saying that the bill is for Mme Lenfant! Yep – that was pretty awesome!!
That was pretty much my "exciting" day!!!
